I've known Susan since I was in high school and performed with her brothers Ken and Joe in a number of bands. We would practice in the back building on their property, while she and her younger sister were running around knee high to a grasshopper (does anybody really talk like that?).. She has grown up to become one of the finest painters I have seen in my travels (which have been pretty extensive). With her keen artistic eye, she has recently risen to local fame as the artist who is retouching the downtown Asheboro mural to which we natives have become quite attached.
