SummerShine Resort Staffing Ministry

Chris Thore, my former pastor at Central United Methodist Church and a good friend, commissioned me several years ago to develop a website for his side project, SummerShine Resort Staffing Ministries.  The ministry has been in existence since 1979 and has had hundreds of participants in the effort. Their main mission is to share Christ with vacationers in the resorts that they are based (currently 10 locations from Santa Cruz, California to Hatteras, North Carolina). I think this is the third or fourth version of this site that I've generated over the years.  The first was a struggling step into content management, with the final utilizing the full range of tools in my belt, including development of the logo that is currently used on all promotional materials.

Florida Gulf Beach Condo

A client from another website had some rental property that he wanted to promote online.  Being on a budget, he didn't want anything extravagent, but did want a crisp, clean presence that would work to direct traffic to the rental agency handling the reservations. For eye candy, I added in a javascript image gallery to set off this single-serving site.

First Friday Beach Music

Yet again the Asheboro Parks and Rec department (sensing a theme here?) approached me to develop a logo for the "First Friday Beach Music" concert series.  I enjoyed this logo as it coupled a lil' bit 'o everything I love - hand illustration, computer graphics, typography, and color testing. Let's get to shagging (American version)!
